Off-Grid Vehicles and the freedom of the open road
Nomad: A member of a people who have no fixed residence but moves from place to place usually seasonally and within a well-defined territory ("Nomad." Merriam-Webster.com. Merriam-Webster, n.d. Web. 9 Oct. 2016.)
There are many ways to go about were or
rent, buy or build a permanent home in a permanent spot and be committed to area of there choice. More unconventional ways of living are out there as well. Such as converting a vehicle; like a van, bus, truck, etc. into something that can self-sustain and be a comfortable environment to live in for long periods of time.
With the idea of freedom in mind a home that can be transported at any given time, is ideal for experiencing what our world has to offer. there are many different variants of off-grid vehicles, the most common being a van. there are thousands of different types of setups all unique and individual bellow are some examples of the interior of an off-grid van setup.
The van to camper conversion process includes multiple factors. for the best results you need to factor in you budget, fittings, tools, legal status, and questions like: where is my power source coming from?, how will I stay warm?, and what designs will fit my lifestyle comfortably? This is not an easy process to start, you must have a basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and architecture. This doesn't have to an expensive process as long as you are resourceful. For example: wood can be gained for free with pallets, and your local thrift store/ junkyard can always prove to have something of value. If you are considering living the nomad lifestyle this could be your first step.
